A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend Code Section 21-2-265 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to duty of superintendent to select polling places, so as to authorize the superintendent to establish polling places outside of the boundaries of a precinct if such polling place would better serve the needs of the electors without regard to whether suitable facilities exist within the precinct boundaries; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Code Section 21-2-265 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to duty of superintendent to select polling places, is amended by revising subsection (e) as follows:
"(e) The superintendent may establish the polling place for a precinct outside the boundaries of the precinct if there is no suitable facility within the precinct which could be used as a polling place and if, by so doing, such polling place would better serve the needs of the voters electors of the precinct."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
