A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act to create and establish the Greene County Airport Authority, approved March 13, 1978 (Ga. L. 1978, p. 3223), so as to change the reimbursement of members of the authority; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

An Act to create and establish the Greene County Airport Authority, approved March 13, 1978 (Ga. L. 1978, p. 3223), is amended by revising Section 4 to read as follows:

"Section 4. Meetings. The authority shall hold its first meeting within forty-five days after the effective date of this Act at which time the authority shall elect one of its members as its chairman and one member as secretary-treasurer. The authority shall meet at such times as may be necessary to transact the business coming before it, but not less than quarterly. At its first meeting in January of each year thereafter, the authority shall elect one of its members as its chairman and another member as secretary-treasurer. Only one person shall hold the office of secretary-treasurer. These officers shall be elected for a term ending on December 31 of the year in which they were elected or until their successors are elected and qualified. Three members of the authority shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of all business coming before it."

SECTION 2.

This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval.

SECTION 3.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
