RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Ashlee J. Mitchell, a Georgia Teacher of the Year Finalist;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Ms. Ashlee J. Mitchell exemplifies the selfless dedication which is
characteristic of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Mitchell is a highly respected educator in Bulloch County, Georgia,
dedicating her time, talents, and energy to challenging and inspiring the future
leaders of this state; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Mitchell has earned distinction for teaching excellence as a result of her
dedication to the students of Stilson Elementary School, where she has been
honored as the 2011 Teacher of the Year and is a Georgia Teacher of the Year
finalist; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her contributions to the education and welfare of young people
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding
individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend heartily Ms. Ashlee J. Mitchell, the 2011 Stilson Elementary
School Teacher of the Year and a Georgia Teacher of the Year finalist, and
express to her their sincere best wishes for continued success in the
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Ashlee J.
Mitchell.
