A
RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending R.L. and Helen Erwin on the occasion of their 70th wedding
anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
R.L. and Helen Erwin were united in love and marriage on March 9, 1940, and will
be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary this year; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin's 70 year union and unyielding loyalty and devotion to one
another serve as an inspiration to their family, friends, and neighbors;
and
WHEREAS,
they have been blessed with the love of two remarkable children, Carolyn Erwin
Ray and Wallace Edwin Erwin; and
WHEREAS,
the Erwins are loved and cherished by their seven wonderful grandchildren,
Johnny Ray, Tina Ray McDuffie, Denise Ray Johnson, Chuck Ray, Cindy Erwin
Coggins, and Susan Erwin McCall; and
WHEREAS,
the devotion, patience, and understanding they have demonstrated have provided
the foundation and framework of success in which all of their family members
have developed and flourished; and
WHEREAS,
known for their generosity and kindness, the Erwins have made the world a better
place in which to live, with many incredible contributions to their family,
community, and state; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Erwins be congratulated on their
many years of happiness and their magnificent 70 year commitment to each
other.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in congratulating R.L. and Helen Erwin on their 70th wedding
anniversary and extend their sincere best wishes for many more happy years
together.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs.
Erwin.
