RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Wayne Seay on his outstanding public service; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Wayne Seay has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
he diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as
evidenced dramatically by his superlative service for ten years with the Pooler
City Council; and
WHEREAS,
during his tenure with the Pooler City Council, Mr. Seay served as chairman for
the Streets, Drainage, and Parks Committee and served on the Finance Committee
and Water and Sewer Committee; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Seay's significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable
patience and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the
needs of the citizens of this state earned him the respect and admiration of his
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
this dedicated public servant worked for 28 years with the Chatham County Board
of Education; and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
a man of deep and abiding faith, Mr. Seay is an active member of Trinity United
Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Seay served with honor and distinction with the Pooler City Council and his
vision and unyielding commitment set the standard for public service;
and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Mr. Wayne Seay for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to the City of Pooler and the State of Georgia and
extend to him their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Wayne
Seay.
