A
RESOLUTION
Congratulating
the Chattahoochee High School football team on winning the 2010 GHSA Class AAAA
State Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Chattahoochee High School has a tradition of excellence and the highest ideals
of academic achievement, training of mind and body, and sportsmanship;
and
WHEREAS,
through training, talent, and iron will, the Chattahoochee High School football
team earned the top ranking in the state with their win over Starr's Mill High
School at the Georgia Dome; and
WHEREAS,
the talented 2010 Cougars amassed a perfect 15-0 record and won two playoff
games, the state quarter and semi-finals, and the title of state champions;
and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and
spirit of each member of the team; and
WHEREAS,
students, players, coaches, parents, and supporters all came together to make a
true championship team; and
WHEREAS,
the 2010 Cougars have exhibited a work ethic and level of confidence that
transcends the football field; and
WHEREAS,
the work, talent, and dedication of Head Coach Terry Crowder and his coaching
staff are evident in the team's victorious season with each member displaying
character, integrity, and perseverance to obtain this high achievement;
and
WHEREAS,
as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by
performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition,
it is abundantly proper to call them champions.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate the Chattahoochee High School football team for winning
the 2010 GHSA Class AAAA State Championship and extend their sincere best wishes
for future success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to head coach of
the 2010 Chattahoochee High School football team, Terry Crowder.
