RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Mendy Cole for outstanding contributions to public education
in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Mendy Cole is a highly respected educator at Wrens Elementary School in the
Jefferson County School System; and
WHEREAS,
committed to closing the achievement gap among students, Ms. Cole has nine years
of teaching experience, educating children in pre-K, first, and second grades;
and
WHEREAS,
she has earned a well-deserved reputation for excellence and meeting the needs
of her students through implementation of innovative and challenging teaching
strategies; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Cole's contributions and achievements have been recognized by her selection
as Jefferson County Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Ms. Cole exemplifies the selfless dedication which is characteristic
of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
it is appropriate that this body joins in expressing appreciation to Ms. Cole
for her efforts and accomplishments.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby
recognizes and commends Ms. Mendy Cole; extends its congratulations upon her
selection as Jefferson County Teacher of the Year; and expresses its gratitude
for the great credit this outstanding educator reflects upon her school and
school system and the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Mendy
Cole.
