Summary

Clarifies that the attorney general shall represent the legislature, house of legislature, and individual legislators acting in the course and scope of employment unless the legislature, house of the legislature, or individual legislators decline representation. Requires the respective house to provide, at their own cost, legal representation for any member who is subject to suit arising from acts or omissions made in the course and scope of employment if the member declines representation by the attorney general, unless the member also declines representation from the house to which the legislator is a member. (SD1)
