Summary

Requires that one of the five seats on the board of trustees of the Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund, allocated to public employers, be occupied by a member appointed by each mayor of all four counties of Hawaii and by the Hawaii State Association of Counties. Authorizes the governor to fill the vacancy should it not be filled within 60 days. Takes effect 7/1/12.
