Summary

Requires a portion of the moneys deposited into the State Parks Special Fund to be allocated to the Department of Land and Natural Resources and Office of Planning and Sustainable Development based on the percentage of residents who have a favorable perception towards Hawaii's tourism industry as reported in the most recent Hawaii Tourism Authority resident sentiment survey results. Increases the sum to be appropriated out of the State Parks Special Fund by $12,000,000 for fiscal year 2022-2023 to be expended by the Department of Land and Natural Resources, in conjunction with the Office of Planning and Sustainable Development.
