A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING to CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THIRTY-SECOND REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2017-2018:

     1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Aliamanu elementary school, Oahu

          Design, construction, and equipment for renovation and expansion of the administration building; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

          Design                                  $400,000

          Construction                          $3,075,000

          Equipment                                $25,000

          Total funding                         $3,500,000

     B.   Aliamanu elementary school, Oahu

          Design and construction for traffic flow and parking lot improvements; ground and site improvements.

          Design                                  $150,000

          Construction                          $1,000,000

          Total funding                         $1,150,000

     C.   Moanalua elementary school, Oahu

          Design, construction, and equipment for a multi-purpose innovation center; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

          Design                                  $320,000

          Construction                          $2,880,000

          Equipment                                $50,000

          Total funding                         $3,250,000

     D.   Moanalua elementary school, Oahu

          Design, construction, and equipment for the expansion of the library for a multi-purpose innovation center; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

          Design                                  $400,000

          Construction                          $3,075,000

          Equipment                                $50,000

          Total funding                         $3,525,000

     E.   Moanalua high school, Oahu

          Construction and equipment for completion of the performing arts center; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

          Construction                         $14,950,000

     F.   Moanalua middle school, Oahu

          Plans, land acquisition, design, construction, and equipment for a student drop-off and pick-up area that is covered and cemented with possible seating.

     G.   Salt lake elementary school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction for a covered sidewalk from the cafeteria to building C.

     H.   Salt lake elementary school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction for a covering for the play area in front of the faculty center including a concrete slab.

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2017.
