A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to the Counties.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 46, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§46- Excessive minimum real property tax;
prohibited. No county shall levy a minimum real
property tax upon a property that would be greater than the real property tax levied
under the county's standard tax rate for the property."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
