A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the hawaii technology development corporation.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the Hawaii small business innovation research program.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  Beginning with fiscal year 2025-2026, and each fiscal year thereafter, the department of business, economic development, and tourism shall establish the Hawaii small business innovation research program as a separate line item within the department's budget.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2023.
