SENATE RESOLUTION

 

 

REGARDING COMPLETION OF THE WORK OF THE TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE SUBSEQUENT TO THE ADJOURNMENT THEREOF.

 

 


     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-sixth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2012, that the President is hereby authorized and empowered as the President deems necessary to:

 

     (1)  Expend such sum or sums from the funds appropriated for the legislative and other expenses of the Twenty‑sixth Legislature, Regular Session of 2012;

 

     (2)  Contract, hire, or employ such personnel and assistance to meet the work of the Senate after the session and to determine the period of employment for each;

 

     (3)  Approve the Journal of the Senate of any legislative day being compiled as of the 60th legislative day; and

 

     (4)  Perform such other duties, all for the purposes of completing the work of the Twenty-sixth Legislature, Regular Session of 2012, subsequent to the adjournment thereof, including the carrying out of any official legislative business in the interim between the 2012 and 2013 session, up to and including January 16, 2013.

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Vice President is hereby authorized and empowered to carry out the responsibilities enumerated under Rule 4 of the 2011-2012 Rules of the Senate.
