Section
1.
Section
543B.29,
subsection
4,
Code
2023,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

4.
A
real
estate
broker’s
or
salesperson’s
license
shall
3
be
revoked
following
three
violations
of
this
section
or
4
section
543B.34
within
a
three-year
period.
For
purposes
of
5
determining
whether
three
violations
have
occurred
during
such
6
three-year
period,
the
date
of
a
violation
shall
be
deemed
to
7
be
the
date
on
which
a
violation
was
actually
committed
or
8
commenced.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
real
estate
license
revocations.
13
Current
law
provides
that
a
real
estate
broker’s
or
14
salesperson’s
license
shall
be
revoked
for
three
violations
15
of
Code
section
543B.29,
relating
to
license
revocation
or
16
suspension,
or
Code
section
543B.34,
relating
to
investigations
17
and
licensing
sanctions,
within
a
three-year
period.
The
bill
18
provides
that
the
dates
a
violation
was
committed
or
commenced
19
within
the
three-year
period
shall
be
the
dates
considered
in
20
determining
whether
the
three-violation
threshold
has
been
met.
