1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1159

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1159 on page 7, by | ||||||
3 | replacing lines 15 through 24 with the following: | ||||||
4 | " (c-5) Notwithstanding Section
21-6 of the Criminal Code | ||||||
5 | of 2012, a licensee is not in violation of this Act for | ||||||
6 | carrying a concealed
firearm in the prohibited areas in | ||||||
7 | paragraph (3), (4), or (5)
of subsection (a) of this Section, | ||||||
8 | if the
licensee is a chief judge, a circuit court judge with | ||||||
9 | the written consent of the chief judge of
his or her judicial | ||||||
10 | circuit, an
associate judge with the written consent of the | ||||||
11 | chief judge of
his or her judicial circuit, a State's | ||||||
12 | Attorney, an assistant State's Attorney with the written | ||||||
13 | consent of the State's Attorney, the
Attorney General, or an | ||||||
14 | assistant Attorney General with the written consent of the
| ||||||
15 | Attorney General. This subsection (c-5) does not apply to the | ||||||
16 | Capitol Complex in Springfield, Illinois. ".
