Bill Title: Creates the Peace Officer Chokehold Prohibition Act. Provides that a peace officer may not apply a chokehold to effect the arrest of a person, unless faced with a situation in which the use of deadly force is justified under the Justifiable Use of Force; Exoneration Article of the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that a peace officer who violates this provision is guilty of a Class 1 felony for which he or she shall serve a minimum term of imprisonment of 5 years and be fined a minimum of $5,000. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to make conforming changes.
