Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Provides that a taxpayer who claims a child as a dependent for income tax purposes must indicate on the standard Illinois income tax form whether each of the taxpayer's dependent children has health care coverage. Provides that, if the taxpayer indicates that a dependent child does not have health care coverage, and the taxpayer meets the income eligibility standards for Medicaid, KidCare, or the Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Program, then the State Comptroller shall notify the taxpayer that the child may qualify for one or more of those programs. Effective immediately.
