Bill Title: Amends the Nursing Home Care Act and the Hospital Licensing Act. Provides that a long-term care facility licensee may apply to the Department of Public Health for approval to conduct its operations in whole or in part at a building already licensed as a hospital under the Hospital Licensing Act (the "host hospital"). Provides that the long-term care facility licensee and the host hospital shall be jointly responsible for long-term care facility licensing requirements relating to design and construction, engineering and maintenance of the physical plan, waste disposal, and fire safety. Adds requirements concerning signage and notification of the public and patients. Requires the long-term care facility licensee and the host hospital to submit to the Department a comprehensive plan describing their services and operations. Provides that nothing in these provisions relieves a long-term care facility licensee or a hospital from the requirements in the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act.
