Bill Title: Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Medicaid rates set forth in the Department of Healthcare and Family Services' therapy provider fee schedule for reimbursement of occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists shall be no less than the reimbursement rates set forth in the Medicare fee schedule for occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5adding Section 5-5.06f as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-5.06f new)
7 Sec. 5-5.06f. Speech, occupational, and physical therapy
8services; reimbursement rates. Notwithstanding any other law
9or rule to the contrary, the Medicaid rates set forth in the
10Department's therapy provider fee schedule for reimbursement
11of occupational therapists, physical therapists, and
12speech-language pathologists shall be no less than the
13reimbursement rates set forth in the Medicare fee schedule for
14occupational therapists, physical therapists, and
15speech-language pathologists.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17becoming law.
