Bill Title: Amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act. Provides that in addition to any other applicable requirement of law, State's Attorneys, and the Assistant State's Attorneys working thereunder, shall abide by the ethics laws applicable to, and the ethics policies of, the county for which they work and, if applicable, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of that county's ethics officer or inspector general.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
5 ILCS 430/70-25 new

Amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act. 1 AN ACT concerning government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is
5amended by adding Section 70-25 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 430/70-25 new)
7 Sec. 70-25. State's Attorneys. In addition to any other
8applicable requirement of law, the State's Attorneys of each
9county of this State, and the Assistant State's Attorneys
10working thereunder, shall abide by the ethics laws applicable
11to, and the ethics policies of, the county for which they work
12and, if applicable, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of
13that county's ethics officer or inspector general.
