Bill Title: Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Designates June 25 of each year as Health Care Awareness Day to be observed throughout the State as a day to recognize that the ruling of the United States Supreme Court in King v. Burwell is of historic importance to all Americans, and that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act constitutes a tremendous step forward in ensuring the availability of health care.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by | ||||||
5 | adding Section 190 as follows:

6 | (5 ILCS 490/190 new) | ||||||
7 | Sec. 190. Health Care Awareness Day. June 25 of each year | ||||||
8 | is designated as Health Care Awareness Day to be observed | ||||||
9 | throughout the State as a day to recognize that the ruling of | ||||||
10 | the United States Supreme Court in King v. Burwell is of | ||||||
11 | historic importance to all Americans, and that the Patient | ||||||
12 | Protection and Affordable Care Act constitutes a tremendous | ||||||
13 | step forward in ensuring the availability of health care.
