SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
415 ILCS 90/10 new

Amends the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program Act. Provides that the Illinois Environmental Protection agency shall implement the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program in a manner that is geographically equitable to all residents of this State. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning safety.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection
5Program Act is amended by adding Section 10 as follows:
6 (415 ILCS 90/10 new)
7 Sec. 10. Implementation of the Household Hazardous Waste
8Collection Program. The Agency shall implement the Household
9Hazardous Waste Collection Program in a manner that is
10geographically equitable to all residents of this State. No
11implementation priority shall be given to any region of this
12State based solely on the population of that region.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14becoming law.
