2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Will | ||||||
4 | Alan Crosier, who passed away on February 9, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Will Crosier was born to Carol C. Crosier and | ||||||
6 | Will Crosier Jr. on September 20, 1957; he attended Perkins | ||||||
7 | Bass Elementary School and Juliette G. Low Upper Grade Center | ||||||
8 | in Chicago's Englewood community; he graduated from Dunbar | ||||||
9 | Vocational High School in 1975; he also attended confirmation | ||||||
10 | class at St. Mark Methodist Church; he obtained his bachelor's | ||||||
11 | degree in Business Management and his Master's in Business | ||||||
12 | Administration (MBA) at Roosevelt University; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Will Crosier went to work for Commonwealth Edison | ||||||
14 | (ComEd) in October 1979, where he started out in the Treasury | ||||||
15 | Department and supervised several departments in numerous | ||||||
16 | locations throughout the service territory; he retired as a | ||||||
17 | regional manager of Meter Reading in 2016 after 37 years of | ||||||
18 | service; and

19 | WHEREAS, While at ComEd, Will Crosier was twice elected | ||||||
20 | president of the Exelon African American Management | ||||||
21 | Association; and

1 | WHEREAS, In retirement, Will Crosier enjoyed traveling, | ||||||
2 | sporting events, concerts, theater, and playing golf with | ||||||
3 | friends and family; he was a music lover who often lent his | ||||||
4 | tenor voice to singing along with recordings by the Whispers | ||||||
5 | and other groups; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Will Crosier was known for being studious, | ||||||
7 | inquisitive, perceptive, and intentional; he will be | ||||||
8 | remembered for his easygoing style, his quiet confidence, and | ||||||
9 | his mentorship; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Will Crosier was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
11 | Selestine "Tina", and his parents; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Will Crosier is survived by his brother, Neal; | ||||||
13 | his sister, Lynda; his daughters, Stephanie (Paul) and Charis; | ||||||
14 | his grandchildren, Cameren, Carson, and Payton; his special | ||||||
15 | friend, Denise; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and | ||||||
16 | his many friends and admirers; therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
18 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
19 | we mourn the passing of
Will Alan Crosier and extend our | ||||||
20 | sincere
condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
21 | and loved
him; and be it further
