| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to recognize the retirement of Master | ||||||
| 4 | Sergeant Scott Isaacs from the Illinois State Police on | ||||||
| 5 | December 31, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, After 27 years of service, Master Sergeant Isaacs | ||||||
| 7 | will call in his final 10-42 on November 30, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs began his career on | ||||||
| 9 | December 4, 1989 at the Illinois State Police Academy; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, After his graduation from the academy, Master | ||||||
| 11 | Sergeant Isaacs was assigned to District 19 in Carmi, where he | ||||||
| 12 | worked for nearly 21 years; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs was promoted to District 19 | ||||||
| 14 | Sergeant in 2001 and to Master Sergeant in 2006; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs was assigned to the | ||||||
| 16 | District 19 Tactical Team; he served as a Field Training | ||||||
| 17 | Officer, Field Training Supervisor, and Crisis Negotiator; he | ||||||
| 18 | also spent a short time in Zone 7 Investigations; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, In 2011, Master Sergeant Isaacs transferred to | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | District 13 in DuQuion, where he was assigned as a Platoon | ||||||
| 2 | Supervisor, Scale and TWI Supervisor, and Special Enforcement | ||||||
| 3 | Team Supervisor; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs has for several years | ||||||
| 5 | supervised the Street Machine National Car Show and the DuQuion | ||||||
| 6 | State Fair; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs resides in Marion, with his | ||||||
| 8 | wife, Angie Isaacs, and his 19-year-old stepdaughter, Lauren | ||||||
| 9 | Pavelonis, who is attending John A. Logan College with plans to | ||||||
| 10 | transfer to obtain her doctoral degree as a nurse anesthetist; | ||||||
| 11 | and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Scott Isaacs is planning to open | ||||||
| 13 | an overhead door business in Harrisburg, with his 22-year-old | ||||||
| 14 | son, Remington Isaacs, who currently resides in West Frankfort; | ||||||
| 15 | therefore, be it

| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 17 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 18 | commend Master Sergeant Scott Isaacs for his excellent service | ||||||
| 19 | to the State of Illinois, and we wish him a long and happy | ||||||
| 20 | retirement; and be it further
| ||||||
| 21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
