Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the 15th day of May of each year is designated as Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Awareness Day.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5adding Section 235 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 490/235 new)
7 Sec. 235. Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Awareness Day. The
815th day of May of each year is designated as Tuberous
9Sclerosis Complex Awareness Day to be observed throughout the
10State as a day to bring awareness to this genetic disease that
11impacts 50,000 Americans, to urge those in Illinois to support
12the search for a cure, and to assist those individuals and
13families who deal with this challenging disease on a daily
14basis.
