2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Charles Andrew Rudiger Sr. of Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on September 17, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Charles Rudiger was born in Spring Valley to | ||||||
6 | Charles M. and Lora (Thomas) Rudiger on August 6, 1921; he | ||||||
7 | served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in China and India during | ||||||
8 | World War II; he married Bertie Gooch in Spring Valley on | ||||||
9 | September 19, 1945; and

10 | WHEREAS, Charles Rudiger was employed at the Rock Island | ||||||
11 | Arsenal for 36 years, retiring as supervisor of supply | ||||||
12 | management in 1979; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Charles Rudiger enjoyed bowling, gardening, and | ||||||
14 | doing volunteer work, especially for the Salvation Army; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Charles Rudiger was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | wife, Bertie, and his sister, Beulah Thomas; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Charles Rudiger is survived by his children, | ||||||
18 | Charles A. Rudiger Jr. and Roberta L. Rudiger; therefore, be | ||||||
