| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Jerry Styninger of Canton, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on August 24, 2023; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Jerry Styninger was born on December 27, 1942; he | ||||||
| 6 | served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Jerry Styninger worked for International | ||||||
| 8 | Harvester for 30 years and retired from the Ohio Truck Plant; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Jerry Styninger was influential in forming the | ||||||
| 11 | underwater search and rescue team for the Fulton County | ||||||
| 12 | Sheriff's Office; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Jerry Styninger enjoyed going on vacations in his | ||||||
| 14 | motor home with his wife, Carol, hiking, and walking; he | ||||||
| 15 | walked the Appellation Trail twice and hiked in Alaska seven | ||||||
| 16 | times; he also ran more than 20 marathons in Ohio; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Jerry Styninger lived the simple life and was a | ||||||
| 18 | father, son, husband, brother, and brother-in-law; therefore, | ||||||
| 19 | be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Jerry Styninger and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
