2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Barbara Ann Smith of Gurnee, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on May 15, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Barbara Smith was born in Waukegan to Kenneth and | ||||||
6 | Mildred M. (Helquist) Smith on October 21, 1945; she graduated | ||||||
7 | from Warren High School in 1963; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Barbara Smith worked at the Great Lakes Naval Base | ||||||
9 | for over 45 years; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Barbara Smith loved car racing, especially Nascar | ||||||
11 | and Sprint; she was an avid sports fan and loved the Blackhawks | ||||||
12 | and the Cubs; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Barbara Smith was preceded in death by her parents | ||||||
14 | and her aunt, Violet; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Barbara Smith is survived by her children, Dawn | ||||||
16 | Keefer (Paul Bishop), William "Billy" Trusky (Sandy Zons), | ||||||
17 | Brian Trusky, Barry (Shana) Trusky, and Denise (Deacon Jeremy) | ||||||
18 | Carter; her grandchildren, Jerry, Heather, Stephanie, Joey, | ||||||
19 | Kyle, Michael, Katie, Matthew, Meghann, Morgan, Maddie, Josh, | ||||||
20 | and one due in September; and her brother, Bruce (Linda) Smith; |

3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Barbara Ann Smith and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
