2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Steven Charles "Steve" Snyder of Erie, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on December 28, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder was born in Moline to Charles and | ||||||
6 | Ann (Feaster) Snyder on August 10, 1956; he lived in many | ||||||
7 | places in the U.S., France, and Puerto Rico during his | ||||||
8 | father's career in the U.S. Air Force; his family settled in | ||||||
9 | Fenton after his father's retirement in 1971; he graduated | ||||||
10 | from Erie High School in 1975; he joined the Air Force and | ||||||
11 | served in security forces in Florida and South Korea; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder worked security at the Quad City | ||||||
13 | nuclear plant and then become a nuclear plant inspector, which | ||||||
14 | had him traveling throughout the U.S. and overseas; he retired | ||||||
15 | in 2020; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder enjoyed riding horses and Harleys | ||||||
17 | and spending time with family and friends; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder is survived by his daughter, Brooke |

1 | Walker; his sisters, Tama (Paul) Fisher, Julie DeVall, and | ||||||
2 | Susan (Tim) Hays; his nieces and nephews, Heather Turner, | ||||||
3 | Jacklyn (Drew) Seliger, Marcus (Noel) Bush, Gregory (Katie) | ||||||
4 | Bush, and Roy (Elizabeth) Fisher; and 10 great-nieces and | ||||||
5 | great-nephews; therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||

9 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
