2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Carl E. Tanneberger, of Fox Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on August 9, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Carl Tanneberger was born in Searcy, Arkansas to | ||||||
6 | Carl O. and Myron (Pleggy) Tanneberger on December 11, 1928; he | ||||||
7 | served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War | ||||||
8 | II; he married Margaret "Peggy" Gihl in July of 1950; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Carl Tanneberger worked as a machinist; he was an | ||||||
10 | expert woodworker, who crafted fine furniture and clocks; he | ||||||
11 | also built and remodeled homes; he was very generous with his | ||||||
12 | time and talents and had many friends; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Carl Tanneberger was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and | ||||||
14 | Chicago Bears fan; he loved fishing with his grandson; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Carl Tanneberger was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | parents; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Carl Tanneberger is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
18 | daughters, Susan (Albert) Jehlicka and Carla (George) Pugh Jr.; | ||||||
19 | his grandchildren, Thomas (Blanca) Jehlicka, Matthew Jehlicka, | ||||||
20 | Shannon (Karl) Woodham, and George (Amber Nicholson) Pugh III; |

1 | his great-grandchildren, Kylee, K.J., and Autumn; his brother, | ||||||
2 | Jerry (Trudy) Tanneberger; his sisters, Jane (the late John) | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Carl E. Tanneberger, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
