Summary

Requires a member of the general assembly who is elected or appointed after November 5, 2012, to complete training in legislative ethics annually not later than the date that statements of economic interest are due. Requires the legislative council, with the assistance of the legislative services agency, to develop the content and format of the training with the goal of providing an online interactive training program as soon as it is cost effective to do so. Provides that willful failure to complete the training is disorderly behavior that may be punished as provided in Article 4, Section 14 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.
