Summary
Amend KRS 156.153 to allow local boards of education to authorize the transportation of students in privately owned passenger vehicles under specific circumstances; limit liability when transporting students in a privately owned passenger vehicle; amend KRS 160.310 to set insurance requirements for transporting students in privately owned passenger vehicles; authorize the Kentucky Department of Education to promulgate administrative regulations to provide minimum insurance requirements; require boards to obtain and record evidence of adequate insurance.
