HOUSE BILL NO. 4102
A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 40107f.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 40107f. (1) The department shall reestablish a viable and self-sustaining wolf population in the Lower Peninsula. The first wolves shall be introduced by June 1, 2025.
(2) The department shall annually submit to the standing committees of the senate and house of representatives with primary responsibility for wildlife matters a report describing both of the following:
(a) The department's efforts to comply with subsection (1).
(b) The status of the wolf population in the Lower Peninsula.
