HOUSE BILL No. 4115

 

January 20, 2011, Introduced by Reps. Jenkins, Zorn, Hughes and Shaughnessy and referred to the Committee on Redistricting and Elections.

 

     A bill to amend 1846 RS 16, entitled

 

"Of the powers and duties of townships, the election and duties of

township officers, and the division of townships,"

 

by amending section 64b (MCL 41.64b), as added by 1989 PA 77.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 64b. (1) The supervisor of a township may place a person

 

under oath on any of his or her statements made to the supervisor

 

in his or her official capacity as supervisor.

 

     (2) The supervisor of a township may administer the oath of

 

office as provided in section 1 of article XI of the state

 

constitution of 1963 to township officers.
