1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.7 Section 1. [16C.125] PREFERENCE FOR LOCAL PRODUCE PURCHASES.
1.8When purchasing fresh produce for consumption in a state correctional facility, the
1.9commissioner must give preference to purchasing from growers or distributors located
1.10near that facility.
1.11EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective July 1, 2012, and applies to contracts
1.12entered into on or after that date.
