1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for rehabilitation of the St.
1.3Michael-Albertville ice arena; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE ICE ARENA.
1.6 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission for a grant to the joint powers
1.8board established by the cities of St. Michael and Albertville, and Independent School
1.9District No. 855, Albertville-St. Michael, to remediate hazardous conditions in the
1.10St. Michael-Albertville ice arena by removing existing insulation and installing new
1.11insulation, and renovating the HVAC system. This appropriation is not available until the
1.12commissioner of management and budget determines that at least $150,000 has been
1.13committed to the project from nonstate sources.
1.14 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
