AN ACT

To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to designation of St. Patrick's Day.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.045, to read as follows:

            9.045. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart March seventeenth as "St. Patrick's Day", and recommending that it be observed by the people with appropriate exercises in the public schools and otherwise in recognition and tribute to the Irish Americans who helped settle the state of Missouri.
