Summary

An Act To Amend Sections 27-65-17, 27-65-75 And 27-65-111, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Rate Of The State Sales Tax; To Provide That The Revenue Derived From The Additional Tax Levied Under This Act Shall Be Deposited Into The Education Enhancement Fund; To Exempt From The Additional Tax Levied Under This Act Retail Sales Of Food For Human Consumption Not Purchased With Food Stamps But Which Would Be Exempt From Sales Tax If Such Food Were Purchased With Food Stamps; And For Related Purposes.
