Summary

An Act To Amend Chapter 813, Local And Private Laws Of 1989, As Last Amended By Chapter 936, Local And Private Laws Of 2014, To Authorize The Governing Authorities Of The City Of Greenwood, Mississippi, To Increase From 1% To 3% The Tax On Hotels And Motels; To Provide For An Election On The Question Of Whether Or Not Such Tax May Be Increased; To Provide That Such Increase Shall Be Used For The Continued Purpose Of Providing Funding To The Greenwood Tourism Commission To Promote Tourism And Conventions; And For Related Purposes.
