Summary

An Act To Create The "smart State Act"; To Establish A Grant Program To Be Administered By The Mississippi Development Authority For The Purpose Of Making Grants To Municipalities To Assist In Paying Costs Associated With Using Technology To Improve Law Enforcement And Other Forms Of Public Safety Services, Traffic Control And Systems, Transportation Systems, Transportation Infrastructure, And Other Infrastructure; To Authorize The Issuance Of $50,000,000.00 Of State General Obligation Bonds To Provide Funds For Such Grant Program; To Establish A Grant Program To Be Administered By The State Department Of Health For The Purpose Of Making Grants To Certain Health Care Entities To Assist In Paying Costs Associated With Using Technology To Improve The Availability Of Health Care Services Throughout The State; To Authorize The Issuance Of $30,000,000.00 Of State General Obligation Bonds To Provide Funds For Such Grant Program; And For Related Purposes.
