A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE 2012 AND 2013 RETIREES OF THE LEFLORE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THEIR NUMEROUS YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AND EXTENDING BEST WISHES UPON THEIR RETIREMENT.

WHEREAS, a number of treasured employees retired from the Leflore County School District at the end of the 2011-2012 school year or will retire at the end of the 2012-2013 school year; and

WHEREAS, the departure of many honored educators and school administrators, including Myra Coleman, Emily O'Bryant, Charles Ollie, Ollie Dillard, Linda Jones, Mary James, Aza Upton, Richard Logan, Susan Burrell, Willene Stansberry and Dorothy McMorris, has been and will be greatly felt within the district and their respective schools; and

WHEREAS, over the years, these educators have groomed students to face challenges with victory and they have been systematically responsible for training and grooming generations of doctors, lawyers, nurses, politicians, teachers, leaders and role models who have positively impacted our great state; and

WHEREAS, the exit of other valued employees, Doug Segars, Frankie Lee, Ella Ollie and Catherine Wooden, has also left a void in the district; and

WHEREAS, these priceless individuals have also greatly contributed to the success of the Leflore County School District and will be sorely missed by the schools in which they served; and

WHEREAS, through tireless dedication and loving patience these retirees have made Mississippi a greater state by educating our children to become productive, God-fearing, responsible citizens and ensuring that the school district as a whole is operating successfully; and

WHEREAS, the citizens of this fine state owe an immeasurable debt to the retired employees of the Leflore County School District as they move to the lighter days of their awaited retirement; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to commend excellence of those who have spent years educating the students of this great state and ensuring that its schools operate effectively:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby congratulate the 2012 and 2013 retirees of the Leflore County School District for numerous years of dedicated service and extend best wishes upon their retirement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Myra Coleman, Emily O'Bryant, Charles Ollie, Ollie Dillard, Linda Jones, Mary James, Aza Upton, Richard Logan, Susan Burrell, Willene Stansberry, Dorothy McMorris, Doug Segars, Frankie Lee, Ella Ollie and Catherine Wooden, and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
