A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE HARTFIELD ACADEMY VARSITY CHEERLEADERS UPON WINNING THE MISSISSIPPI ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS' (MAIS) MEDIUM TUMBLING DIVISION STATE TITLE.

     WHEREAS, the spirited Hartfield Academy varsity cheerleaders have cheered and tumbled their way to win the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools'(MAIS) medium tumbling division state title; and

     WHEREAS, this amazing team of fierce lady cheerleaders has been led by five hard-working and dedicated seniors who were all chosen as UCA All-American cheerleaders as well as All-American MAIS cheerleaders; and

     WHEREAS, the team's illustrious senior captains:  Addison Ausborn, Jane Adair Houston, Ally Claire Morrison, Aniston Thompson and Lila Wartes, led the team with integrity and fortitude; and

     WHEREAS, after having a successful competition season in which the team worked extremely hard with precision and accuracy, the Hartfield Academy cheerleaders enjoyed cheering on their varsity football team to an undefeated 14-0 state championship win; and

     WHEREAS, the members of this winning cheer team include:  Addison Ausborn, Jane Adair Houston, Ally Claire Morrison, Aniston Thompson, Lila Wartes, Abby Bishop, Delena Estel, Jensen Makamson, Sarah Grace Nail, Addison Rhodes, Roo Roberts, Brelynn Wright, Gracie Utroska, Mari Blake Gentry, Abby Hall, Marilyn Myers, Aleigh Newman, Preslie Shelton and Acey Wartes; and

     WHEREAS, Coach Jodi Gentry and Coach Jill Johnson provided insightful and strategic leadership to the team and trained the team in a manner that placed them on a path to success; and

     WHEREAS, it is most appropriate to commend outstanding student-athletes such as the Hartfield Academy varsity cheerleaders, whose execution and positive attitudes brought honor to their schools and families:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Hartfield Academy varsity cheerleaders upon winning the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools' medium tumbling division state title.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Coach Jodi Gentry, Coach Jill Johnson, Hartfield Academy and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
