Senate Bill 2110

AN ACT TO ADD SEGMENTS OF CERTAIN HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF JACKSON TO THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The following segments of highways are designated as a state highway and placed under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance; and such highway, together with the highways designated in Section 65-3-3, and all other laws adding links to the designated state highway system, are declared to be the state highway system of Mississippi:

     Central District - Hinds County:

That segment of U.S. 49 within the corporate limits of the City of Jackson beginning at its intersection with the northern corporate limits of Jackson and extending to its intersection with Woodrow Wilson Avenue.

That segment of Lakeland Drive from its intersection with I-55 and extending westerly to its intersection with Old Canton Road.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2012.
