A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND SALUTING THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL "ATTACHÉ" SHOW CHOIR AND DIRECTOR DAVID FEHR FOR ITS 7TH GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP, FOR ITS OUTSTANDING 2010-2011 COMPETITION SEASON AND FOR HOSTING THE SHOW CHOIR NATIONALS AT THE GRAND OLE OPRY IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE.

     WHEREAS, Attaché is the Show Choir from Clinton High School.  Since 1992, Attaché has been under the dedicated and energetic direction of David and Mary Fehr.  Attaché has won 57 of 65 competitions entered which includes the national record-winning streak of 22 Grand Championships while competing against the elite groups from across the nation; and

     WHEREAS, the renowned Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir under the direction of David and Mary Fehr won Grand Champion honors in every competition in which they competed in 2010-2011; and

     WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Totino-Grace Show Choir Spectacular held in Fridley, Minnesota, on March 5, 2011.  Attaché also received the Best Choreography Award.  Attaché received all three judges first-place votes.  Points were:  Attaché, 621; Hastings, 600; Mitchell, 593; Bemidji, 577; Waconia, 559; and Bloomington Kennedy, 517; and

     WHEREAS, this makes the second straight year Attaché has been undefeated in competition.  In 2011 Attaché was ranked first by every judge in finals at all four of their competitions.  In 19 years, Attaché has been named Grand Champion in 57 out of 65 competitions entered; and

     WHEREAS, on March 24-26, 2011, Attaché was the Host Choir for the 10th straight year at the Show Choir Nationals held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee; and

     WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the South Central Classic held at Homewood High School, Alabama, on February 19.  Attaché also received awards for Best Vocals, Best Overall Effect, and Best Band.  Wheaton-Warrenville, Illinois was 1st runner-up and received awards for Best Choreography and Best Overall Effect, 2nd runner-up was Jackson Preparatory, 3rd runner-up was South Jones, and 4th runner-up was Albertville, Alabama; and

     WHEREAS, "we are proud of all the hard work and dedication of our students and staff in Attaché," said Dr. Phil Burchfield, Superintendent of the Clinton Public School District.  "We have a long tradition of excellence in our Show Choir, and its amazing to see that recognized on the national stage each year"; and

     WHEREAS, the 2011 talented senior singer/dancers of Attaché are:  Abbey Adcock, Zach Ashcraft, Natalie Bedells, Graham Bobo, Tommy Bobo, Ashley Brister, Morgan Browning, Brittany Buie, Denton Carney, Durham Carney, Rachel Causey, Molly Crisler, Angela DiGennaro, Zach DiGennaro, Jasmine Dixon, Patrick Finch, Nick Hardeman, Hannah Hautle, Jana Ibale, Justine Ibale, Alex Jackson, Brennan Kennedy, Cody McSparrin, Hunter Mason, Adam Metts, Cody Moore, Demetries Morrow, Natalie Murphy, Buka Okoye, Rivers Ormon, Zari Rissman, Tatum Rosenbaum, Conja Rule, Ryan Saxton, Troy Scott, Laura Sheffield, Miles Thomas, Stephanie Tyre, Chelsea Welch, Gerald Wicks, Lizzie Zarich and David Zhu; Crew:  Barrett Breland, Beka Brill, Cedtavious Coleman, Andrew DeYoung, Abbey Durst, Hannah Dye, Abbey Gelston, Bracey Godfrey, Kelli Hartman, Haley Irwin, Connor McClendon, Jenni Nelson, Zan Pickett, Brady Ruffin, Jessie Singh, Norman Sipp and Jessica Sparks; Pit:  Dan Freeman, Jarred Gray, Dean Harrison, Matt Kucia, Josh Lee, Peyton Parks, Paden Pilgrim, John Pipper, Tanner Prevost, Cody Richardson, Reed Smith, Cody Sparkman, Brittany Thomas and Matt Tucker; and

     WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize and commend the accomplishments of the students of this nationally and internationally known Show Choir which has brought honor to Clinton High School, the City of Clinton and the State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby recognize and salute the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir for its national record of 22 Grand Championships, for its outstanding 2010-2011 competition season and for again hosting the Show Choir Nationals at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, and extend our best wishes to the students, directors, parents and sponsors of this award-winning choir in their future competitions.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir, Director David Fehr, and Principal Dr. Eddie J. Peasant, forwarded to the Clinton Municipal School Board and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
