A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT appropriating funds to the department of health and human services, division of public health, for tobacco prevention and cessation programs.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, the sum of seventeen million three hundred thousand dollars ($17,300,000) in recurring funds for the 2012‑2013 fiscal year.  These funds shall be allocated to the Tobacco Prevention and Control Branch for tobacco prevention and cessation programs.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2012.
