Short Title:        Funds/Clean Water Management Trust Fund.		(Public)

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the clean water management trust fund to be awarded as grants for certain water and wastewater infrastructure critical needs, as recommended by the legislative Study Commission on Water and Wastewater Infrastructure.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Clean Water Management Trust Fund the sum of forty‑four million dollars ($44,000,000) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to be awarded as grants pursuant to Chapter 113A of the General Statutes; however, the funds appropriated by this act shall be used only to fund grants that address critical water and wastewater infrastructure needs.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
