A JOINT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE 2009 GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO CONSIDER A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING THE CANCELLATION OF A JUDGMENT OF CONVICTION FOR THE CRIMINAL OFFENSE OF POSSESSION OF CRACK COCAINE, TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING THE EXPUNCTION OF THAT CRIMINAL OFFENSE FROM A PERSON'S RECORD, AND TO MAKE TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS.

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

SECTION 1.  The 2009 General Assembly may consider "A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING THE CANCELLATION OF A JUDGMENT OF CONVICTION FOR THE CRIMINAL OFFENSE OF POSSESSION OF CRACK COCAINE, TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING THE EXPUNCTION OF THAT CRIMINAL OFFENSE FROM A PERSON'S RECORD, AND TO MAKE TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS."

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
