A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to authorize the division of motor vehicles to issue permanent registration plates to housing authorities.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 20‑84(b) is amended by adding a new subdivision to read:

"(b)      Permanent Registration Plates. – The Division may issue permanent plates for the following motor vehicles:

…

(18)      A motor vehicle owned by a housing authority created pursuant to Chapter 157 of the General Statutes."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
