A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to provide that the Program Evaluation Division of the North Carolina General Assembly shall  review the division of public health in dhhs to recommend necessary modifications and also study the relationship of the division to local health departments.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Joint Legislative Program Evaluation Oversight Committee shall include in the 2011‑2012 Work Plan for the Program Evaluation Division of the General Assembly a study of the Division of Public Health of the Department of Health and Human Services and recommend necessary modifications, as well as study the relationship of the Division of Public Health to local health departments.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
